Cases
An international public organization asked for our support in an IT implementaion project related to improved analysis of complex data. The original request was for a change management training for all staff affected by the software implementation.
What we did
Our consultants visited the organization and held talks with small focus groups on the IT project, but also about their work situation in general. It turned out that there was some dissatisfaction with the performance of the piloted software but this issue just clouded the real problem: the analysts didn't feel appreciated by the rest of the organization. Together with the management, we decided to focus on people's pride in their craft. As a result, we carried out a series of workshops based on Appreciative Inquiry and World Café in which the entire department redefined their terms of collaboration.
What was the result?
As a result, satisfaction levels of the employees increased significantly and people took responsibility for creating a better team environment. The software issue was reduced to its core - a discussion about a tool that has the potential to improve the quality of work.
